Entry 08 - First Message

I could not help but think of the path I am on. This journey. Endless hours.

I launch into the void. Desparate to reconnect to something familiar. I summon the Anomaly. The only home I know.

I travelled through a portal to an old base I marked earlier. A save beacon on the horizon - the solitary message - this is why I bookmarked it - the message was cryptic but the excitement was communicated - mentioning Euclid hurriedly and some strange code. It meant nothing to me then, and I am still in the dark now - what does it mean?

I docked at the nearest station to get help for this cryptic code. The station was bathed in strange purple vapours, no doubt, the result of local industry. One of the Vy'Keen I spoke to was not helpful. However the local cartographer agreed to analyse the message contents for something meaningful - my understanding of Vy’keen is terrible but I think that the cartographer said that it’s going to take some time to get results.

I encountered another anomalous traveller at this port who seemed surprised that I could see them. They mentioned seeking a Great Intelligence on a dark freighter. They gave me a small ammount of nanites, explaining that the blood of the Korvax will help for “the dark times ahead”. The traveller left before I could respond. The translucent traveller continued to haunt other fellow travellers in port. Ominous omens indeed.

I am now more intrigued than before - what does the code lead to? What is the dark freighter? What is the Great Intelligence? Even after all this time travelling through the universe, I find myself asking more questions...
